It took 10 minutes for Wrexham to do their usuall when Chester took advantage when Craig Linfield picked up the ball off Mark Carrington on the half way line and played a top quality through ball to Lloyd who finished of the chance brilliantly to give Chester the advantage.

Five minutes later it got much worse for Wrexham when Chester scored their second goal of the game when Jamie Reed manages to nick the ball off David Artell who then rounded Rob Burch to make it 2-0. Wrexham at that time were playing like a side short of confidence.

At Half time Wrexham made a triple substitution bringing on Anyinsah,Carrington and Ciezlewicz to try and change the performance of the Welsh side and to try and give the fans something to cheer about.

7 minutes into second half of the game Brett Omerod made a brake down the right hand side after being moved to the wing from upfront saw him beat 2 defenders before pulling back for Stephen Hetherington who bagged his first goal since joining from Celtic Nation in the summer.

Straight after that goal  Ade Azeez and Mark Carrington played some good football before Joe Anyinsah  made a clever run past 3 defenders before his shot was brilliantly saved by the keeper. Chester were struggling to hold the threat of Wrexham

with 10 minutes left Wrexham changed to a 4-3-3 and it payed of just moments later Keates found himself with the ball after soem good defending from Dubbery and Artell. Keates played a ball through the defence to find Joe Anyinsah who popped home his first goal in a Wrexham shirt to make it 2-2.

Moments later again Wrexham had taken the lead when a long kick from Rob Burch beat all the defenders with the bounce and a smart Ade Azeez made the run to pick up the ball round the Chester keeper to give Wrexham their 3 points and move a step close to the top of the Skrill Premier
