Wrexham win at Nuneaton

Wrexham come off a good win over rivals Nuneaton and visited Liberty Stadium where they took on a basic Nuneaton side who were yet to pick 3 points so far this season.

Wrexham looked on top from the off when they went close after just 9 minutes. Magebi's long kick found Hetherington on the half way line who played a neat pass to Ade Azeez. A on fire Joe Anyinsah made a beautiful run and a stunning pass found him but sadly Joe's shot was straight at the keeper.

But Anyinsah's miss didnt stop him and 2 minutes later Brett ormerod and Keates played some attracting football before finding Wright with lots of space who passed to an unmarked Joe Anyinsah who had an easy finish to give Wrexham the lead.

It took 16 minutes before Nuneaton even showed intrest in the game with a tame effort. Angol made a good run down the left hand side skipping Wright and Aniynsah before finding Pearson on the edge of the box. Pearson panicked and flew a shot well over the bar.

20 minutes struck and so did Anyinsah again. After some good work from Anyinsah of the left hand side Azeez's shot smacked the bar before a scramble saw the ball go for a corner. A inswiging corner from David Artell found Anyinsah who burried his 2nd goal of the game.

In the second half Nuneaton went close so early when straight from kick off Angol ran straight down the wing and found ever present Pearson who cross to Sub at half time striker Brown who's shot was well saved by Megebi.

In the 61st minute saw Mark Carrington have a corner that was whipped in to the box towards N'Tame who's header was well saved before a follow up of Omerod found David Artell who tapped hom to give Wrexham a 3-1 lead.

Just 3 minutes later Taylor got a goal back for Nuneaton when a end to end game saw Hornsley long ball confuse N'Tame and Taylor easily passed the keeper to give Nuneaton a lifeline in the game.

Just after the h70th minute Magebi was adjudged to handle the ball outside the box. The freekick was cleared by Anyinsah to John Shaw on debut but he couldnt keep his call as the striker's effort went high over the stand.

no less than 2 mintues later and Magebi was sent off for the exact same reason. Again he handels at the edge of the box and from the resulting freekick saw Brown flash home from outside the box to make game on. But Wrexham held on and move to 3rd in the league.
