Wembley bound Newport County held Promotion favourites Gillingham to a 0-0 draw at Priestfield The first half was bright for The Port when 2 minutes into the game Conor Hourihane long ball towards the wing found Luke Young in lots of space, The Wingers cross fell beautifully to Jermaine Easter who couldnt finish off the chance as his slice hits the post and gathered by Stuart Nelson. 3 minutes later Newport and Easter had another chance. Feely took the ball of Cook on the half way line and layed of Myles Weston whos left footed hit and hope was beautifully brought down by Jermaine Easter, however the Welsh Internationals shot was again saved by Stuart Nelson. Gillingham only threatened once in the first half when Jordan Cook broke quickly down the left but his shot was well saved by Luke Daniels. The Resulting Corner found Josh McQoid but his header hit the post before being cleared by Skipper Bobby Hassell. Newport could have had the lead going into half time after a freekick from Jermaine Easter was cleared by the defender before Luke Young fired well wide from the edge of the box. The only real chance of the second half fell to Gillingham as Rowe found space on the left and his lofted ball clipped the head of Newport Defender Jon Page but Ashley Fletcher failed to turn it in
